The diverse program of the 4th Dorum Harbor Days invites you to join in the fun and enjoy yourself: Experience the fishing boat parade up close aboard one of the shrimp boats and savor the delicious treats on offer. Immerse yourself in the maritime atmosphere right at the fishing harbor in Dorum-Neufeld and stroll along the colorful harbor promenade with a view of the Wadden Sea.

The first day kicks off with the Dorum fishing boat parade starting at 1:30 p.m.: Colorfully decorated shrimp boats leave the harbor and head out into the Wadden Sea, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site—an experience you can enjoy from both on board and on land. In the afternoon, there will be hands-on activities for children in the harbor tent, a family afternoon at the Watt’n Bad, and coffee and cake starting at 3:00 p.m. Anyone interested can learn how to properly shell fresh North Sea shrimp at the “Shrimp Shelling Made Easy” workshop in the Krabbensiebhaus. Tickets are available only through the online shop. More information will follow shortly. Starting at 2 p.m., Mense Music will get the party started with rock ’n’ roll, before the Setup Partyband takes over at 9 p.m. The grand finale will be a fireworks display right by the harbor basin.

For the athletically ambitious, Saturday features the Dorum-Neufeld Grand Prix: Participants will compete against each other in a paddling duel on floating platforms. Participation is free, and anyone interested can sign up on the spot. From 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., there’s a group bingo session with NDR host and “Bingo Bear” Michael Thürnau. Bingo cards are available for free on-site while supplies last. Visitors can look forward to great prizes!
A DJ in the harbor tent will round out the evening.

Sunday begins on a contemplative note with a church service in the Harbor Tent at 11 a.m. Starting at 12 p.m., the “Maritime Hour” begins: cutter fisherman Hellberg shares stories about life on the water, and the Wurster North Sea Coast National Park Center provides information about the coast and nature conservation. To go with it: live accordion music straight from the fishing boat. At 2:30 p.m., the second fishing boat parade sets out into the Wadden Sea. The festive finale of the entire weekend begins at 4:30 p.m. with the Dorum Shanty Choir and its traditional repertoire of sea shanties.
