Die Landesbühne Nord präsentiert "Call me god"
A shot. Then another. A sniper is killing people from a moving car—seemingly at random. While shopping, filling up their cars, or out for a walk. The city freezes. No one knows who the next victim will be. The media pounce on the case, the whole world watches, and the hunt for the serial killer begins. This is precisely where the real drama unfolds, for the play focuses not only on the crime itself, but above all on the impact it has—in the media, in politics, and in society.
Four international playwrights—Gian Maria Cervo (*1970), Marius von Mayenburg(*1972), Albert Ostermaier (*1967), Rafael Spregelburd (*1970)—have turned a true story into a play that could hardly be more gripping: a multi-perspective thriller about power, anger, religion, pop culture—and a world that’s losing its bearings. With its diverse perspectives, rapid scene changes, and dark humor, this production strikes a powerful chord with today’s world. For the question of what turns people into monsters—and who stands by and watches—is more relevant than ever.
