The first delicate chirping of spring is already breaking through the winter torpor. Spring is not far off and the countdown is on! Then finally - on May 1 - the starting signal for the 2026 Ippenburg garden season will be given. The Ippenburg gardens will then be open to visitors on all Sundays and public holidays until August 16.

Ippenburg Castle, this "little piece of England" is one of the most famous private gardens in Germany. And one of the largest and most varied. Lively and full of surprises, it is the result of over 40 years of growing, truly British gardening passion by the "green baroness" Viktoria von dem Bussche.

Thousands of roses, perennials and summer flowers, Germany's largest and most lush kitchen garden, the enchanting woodland island, the wilderness, the castle parterre and much more surround the imposing 19th century castle on 60,000 m².

A Sunday in this garden paradise offers all generations the opportunity to enjoy nature together, which has almost disappeared from everyday life.

Whether a family outing, bicycle tour or day trip - everyone will find their own paradise in the Ippenburg gardens, whose diversity is truly unique.

Garden lovers gather ideas for their own garden and use the wide range of plants in the Ippenburg garden store to put their ideas into practice straight away; children and young families conquer the new water playground and the barefoot and nature trail; connoisseurs drift away carefree and meet friends for a picnic or in the Ippenburg castle café'

The café takes care of the body. There's ice cream for the children - and not just for the children! Plus a great selection of home-baked cakes, tarts and savory dishes. There is room for over 100 visitors in the Ippenburg Garden Hall in turn-of-the-century café style and in the light-flooded Summer Salon.
