"Erich Kästner and his time"
This is the motto with which "Die Neuen 3", an ensemble from Lower Saxony, would like to approach the great writer, publicist, screenwriter and cabaret poet. 2024 was both the 125th anniversary of his birth and the 50th anniversary of his death. But his significance goes far beyond this anniversary year. Heike Koschnicke, recitation, will talk about his colorful and exciting life and recite from his works. Linda Moeken, piano, and Peter Alexander Herwig, baritone, will delicately trace the human development of the "poet of small freedom" (Marcel Reich-Ranicki) and the spirit of the time with compositions by Franz Schubert, Robert Schumann, Paul Graener, Hugo Wolf and Rudolf Wagner-Regény.
