Ausstellung: Unsere gefiederten Nachbarn – Ein Dialog mit der Natur (Wandelwoche Lüneburg 2026)

At the back of the museum, a window opens onto the fascinating world of our native bird species. The display window exhibition showcases the diversity of birds, feathers, and eggs and shares amazing facts about life right on our doorstep. As part of “Wandelwoche,” we’re building a bridge toward respectful dialogue: Just as we learn to understand nature’s subtle signals and respect its habitat, this exhibition invites us to listen to one another with attentiveness and appreciation. At interactive stations, you can test your knowledge in a playful way, join in on guessing games, and discover exciting information. An inspiring stop along the way that shows how mutual respect and mindful coexistence—whether between humans and nature or in direct conversation—form the basis for real change.

The Lüneburg Transition Week will take place from October 30 to November 8, 2026.
A good life for everyone is possible—if we engage in dialogue, share ideas, learn about different perspectives, and work together to find solutions.
 
Through >50 events organized by >60 Lüneburg-based initiatives, the “Wandelwoche” showcases what’s already happening in Lüneburg, encourages people to get involved, and creates spaces for encounters, exchange, and collaborative experimentation. It addresses the big questions of our time: climate and sustainability, democracy, housing and mobility, social justice and diversity—and always includes how we talk about and debate these issues with one another.
 
How can we engage with one another respectfully and as equals? How do we keep the conversation going, even when we disagree? And how can we work together to shape a future worth living?
 
Transition Week invites you to try exactly that.
