Altländer Blütenfest

Every year on the last full weekend of April , the Alte Land is bustling. In Jork, two stages are set up with music and entertainment programs, and there is a lot of arts and crafts to see. The new Blossom Queen will be crowned!

The organizer of this well-known regional event is the municipality of Jork.

The Altländer Blossom Festival has been held since 1982. It combines tradition and modernity, art and entertainment in a picturesque landscape: in one of the largest contiguous fruit-growing areas in Europe.

The Altländer Blossom Queen represents the Alte Land at many occasions. She regularly attends the Green Week in Berlin, represents our region, and participates in many regional meetings. And of course, she is present at many official appointments in the Alte Land (please find information about the events under the Tourism or Event Dates section).

A jury selects the new Altländer Blossom Queen from the candidates for this demanding office. Who it will be is kept strictly secret! The secret is only unveiled during the official coronation on the Saturday of the Blossom Festival. Visitors to the Blossom Festival can expect around 80 stalls, culture and crafts, family activities, everything related to fruit, sweets, and hearty dishes. And on stage, there will be a diverse program with Altländer tradition and culture at its center.
