Allein an der Bar im Foyer (shakespeare company Bremen)
A theatrical song recital about closeness, distance, and the longing in between, in collaboration with the Shakespeare Company Bremen.
The bar becomes a stage and a playground—and the audience takes their seats right in the middle of it all. In an intimate dialogue between singer and actress Magdalena Julia Simmel, a bartender with a guitar, and the audience, new stories constantly emerge from songs, fragments, and fantasies.
A touching and entertaining evening that gently invites the audience to sing along, play along, empathize, and laugh along. What is a person looking for when they walk into a bar alone? A drink? A conversation? Or, in the end, the fulfillment of a longing? Every evening can be different, but one thing is clear: we have each other. “So, which song shall we order next?”
