October 23 marks the 225th anniversary of Albert Lortzing’s birth. This is reason enough to rediscover him as a musician and keen observer of his time through his compositions and letters. Susanna Edelmann and Florian Wugk will sing, accompanied on the piano by Benjamin Huth, while Oliver Meskendahl will read the letters.
A second performance will take place on November 21.
