Advent im Rathaus Karree
The Rathaus Karree Advertising Association, in collaboration with the East Frisian State Museum in Emden, invites you to the traditional Advent market “by Emden residents, for Emden residents” on Brückstraße.
The tails on the lanterns are glowing in the Rathaus Karree. The Herrnhut stars shine brightly in the darkness, and Christmas trees create a festive atmosphere. The market is open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The market opens on Thursday, December 3, at 5:00 p.m. Children will sing Christmas carols in front of the East Frisian State Museum in Emden. At several stalls, visitors can purchase handicrafts, woodwork, cards, pictures, and ceramics as Christmas gifts.
A distinctive feature of the market is that only volunteers present the items for sale at the stalls. Various stands will offer culinary delights. On Saturday, December 5, members of the Rathaus Karree will sell a meter-long Christmas stollen baked by agilio. As every year, the proceeds will go to a good cause. An extensive program of events featuring music and readings complements and enriches the Advent market.
