With their highly successful combination of workshops and top-notch concerts, the Neuchâtel Guitar Days have become a staple of the regional cultural calendar. Internationally renowned artists from various genres
honor us with their presence here and, year after year, draw numerous music enthusiasts from near and far to the Friesische Wehde. In 2026, we will celebrate our 30th anniversary and welcome two new artistic directors: Philip Wiechert and Sönke Meinen.
Course offerings

Guitarists from various genres—including classical, fingerstyle, jazz, and folk—as well as mandolinists and violinists from the fields of
folk, jazz, bluegrass, and klezmer are invited to work with the instructors over three and a half days in a relaxed atmosphere. Bassists are also invited this year. Amateurs and professionals of all ages, whether performing as soloists or in ensembles, are warmly welcome. Depending on the participants’ preferences, lessons can focus on technique, interpretation, improvisation, composition, and more. The Concerts
