24. Seefahrergottesdienst in der ev.-luth. Christuskirche zu Leer
The Evangelical Lutheran Christuskirche in Leer, located at Hoheellernweg 2–4, cordially invites you to its 24th Seafarers’ Service on October 25 at 5:00 p.m.
All those employed in the maritime industry and their families are invited. Anyone interested, from near and far, is also invited—simply “EVERYONE.”
The sermon for this service will be delivered by Regional Bishop Sabine Preuschoff of the Stade Diocese. The report and intercessory prayer will be provided by the Emden Seamen’s Home and Seamen’s Pastor Meenke Sandersfeld.
As always, there will be shanties and sea shanties performed by the “Overledinger Jungs” shanty choir from Collinghorst. Some of the prayers and hymns will be in maritime language. Sylvia Köhler, pastor at Christuskirche, will serve as the overall coordinator.
