22. Hamelner Drachenboot Fun-Regatta

The 22nd edition of the immensely popular Fun Regatta in the Weserbergland starts at the premises of the Canoe Club in Hameln.

About 40 teams will compete against each other in four heats. Starting in May, the participating teams must train at least three times for the biggest sports event in Hameln-Pyrmont. The teams are guided and trained by members of the KC, who thus have a significant additional workload – after all, they also have to manage the "normal" training with their own boat teams.

The times of the heats are added together, and the overall time determines the classification for the final rounds (Gold and Silver).

The first race over 250 m starts at 10 AM. The heats are expected to finish around 5 PM, and after a half-hour break, the final rounds will begin. The big Gold final will be the last race, starting around 6 PM. After the trophy presentation at 6:30 PM, the well-known and immensely popular party follows at 7:15 PM.
