The idea for the Münden 100 Challenge came from a conversation at the poolside about the nationwide 100x100m event. Hann.-Münden is too small and the weather too unpredictable to hold such an event at the Hochbad.

But the idea of offering a group swim for all athletic swimmers—regardless of club affiliation—stuck in our minds.

And so the Mündener 100 Challenge was born. It’s a small training event designed to encourage any swimmer who wants to take on a athletic challenge to participate. It’s aimed primarily at those who...

...swim laps regularly, but mostly on their own
...seek a challenge more in the realm of endurance
...want to swim in a group even without being part of a club

Here, all age groups and skill levels swim together—with no winners or losers. All participants are divided into groups based on the personal challenge they’ve set for themselves. Each group occupies its own lane. All groups start together and finish at the same time. This way, everyone stays together, yet each person can push themselves individually.
