The Goslar Christmas Market & Christmas Forest is one of the most beautiful Christmas markets in Germany and attracts numerous visitors to the historic old town every year. Surrounded by picturesque half-timbered houses, an atmospheric mix of tradition, enjoyment and contemplation awaits you from November 26 to December 30, 2025. The Christmas forest with around 60 illuminated conifers and over 160,000 lights is particularly popular. It enchants with a real forest atmosphere in the middle of the city. Here you can relax with a hot mulled wine or punch and enjoy the peace and quiet.
The 70 or so lovingly decorated stalls offer regional specialties, handicrafts and unusual gift ideas. The Goslar Christmas market invites you to discover and enjoy. With its variety and loving design, it was awarded the title of Excellent European Christmas Market in 2025 - a title that underlines its popularity throughout Europe.
For families and children, there is a Ferris wheel, a children's train through the mini Christmas forest, the goats at the North Pole and Christmas activities, such as the Christmas workshop, a visit from Santa Claus or the family afternoon with free carousel rides, which make the visit an experience.
