Ukulele workshop for beginners with Roland Prakken, the Hamburg ukulele pope

The ukulele has experienced a real revival in recent years and is now one of the most popular instruments in the world. No wonder, because the first fingerings can be learned in no time at all.

This crash course to fall in love with the ukulele is led by Roland Prakken. He is the initiator of the Hamburg Ukulele Days, author of the first German-language book on the history of the ukulele and a welcome guest at international festivals such as the Ukulele Festival of Great Britain and the Berlin Ukulele Festival. In his courses at the Hamburg Adult Education Center he teaches an incredible 150 participants.

Please bring your own instruments to the workshop - a few ukuleles will also be provided. No knowledge of sheet music is necessary. You'll learn the most common chords and strumming techniques using popular songs.

This workshop is also suitable for children aged 8 and over!
