New Year's bathing on Borkum 2026

On January 1, 2026, we want to welcome the New Year in a sporty way again. The popular New Year's swim will once again take place at the "Middelhüsche" clubhouse.

After we had to hold the New Year's swim two days later this year due to the bad weather, we are hoping that the weather gods will be kind to us this year. Fingers crossed is the order of the day.

You can find us again at the Kulturinsel for registration .

This is possible from 12.00 noon until 1.45 pm. Please use the time from 12 noon for registration. So that there is less congestion at the end of the registration period. Everyone wants to get their race number in their hand and this all takes time. Towards the end of the registration period it is always very busy. But we can't change that, only you can.

This is followed by the familiar briefing in the Kulturinsel, where all participants should be present. Afterwards we go down to the beach in front of our clubhouse "Middelhüsche". Many of you already know this spot from the swim and the fight against the tides.

It is therefore necessary that you take bathrobes or similar with you so that you don't get too cold when you walk to the water and especially when you get out of the water again and have to walk back to the Kulturinsel. Flip-flops would also be a good idea, as they not only protect you from the cold ground, but also from any injuries you might sustain on the way.

The sale of mulled wine and children's punch will take place from 12 noon directly at the "Middelhüsche".

As in previous years, we do not charge an entry fee. However, we would be very happy to receive a donation from you. In 2027, we are planning another leisure time at Dankern Holiday Castle and we need every euro for this. We would therefore be very grateful for your support.
