Musik in d' Lüchterkark is a special concert experience under the motto "FOLK MEETS CLASSIC". The songs about winter and Christmas bring warmth to the hearts and want to brighten up the dark season with the light of candles.
From the end of November to the beginning of February, the seven artists give over 30 concerts between the North Sea coast and the Rhineland and also come to Buer every year.
The "Musik in d' Lüchterkark" carries the message of peace of Christmas out into the world. It is known as a cultural event of extraordinary musical diversity: From the Christmas Carol to well-known arias from opera and oratorio, from winter folk and Christmas folk songs from all over the world to rousing instrumental music - you can hear it all here.
"Musik in d' Lüchterkark" is a crossover project centered around the Frisian folk group LAWAY, who celebrated their 40th anniversary in 2019. Special highlights include Borkum's singing mudflat guide Albertus Akkermann, the Mexican lutenist Fernando Olivas and the global folk group LA KEJOCA, which was awarded the coveted German Record Critics' Award in 2022 for its new album LIBERTAD.
