Little donkey Bo wants nothing more than to escape the daily grind and the exhausting work at the village mill. So one day he plucks up all his courage and sets off. Finally free, the small but brave donkey meets Ruth the sheep, who has lost sight of her flock, and Dave the jolly pigeon, who has ambitious plans. Together with three witty camels and some very unusual stable animals, the trio follow a big, bright star on the horizon. Little do they know that at the end of their journey they will witness the birth of Jesus and thus become part of the very first Christmas...
