ZONTA MUSIC AWARD 2025 CONCERT BY AWARD WINNER JULIA PIATKOWSKA (VIOLINE)
Since 2013, the Zonta Club Osnabrück has awarded an annual music prize to promote young female musicians. The young artists are students of various fields of study at the Institute of Music at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences and have distinguished themselves through special achievements (e.g. the Study Up Award). An exciting concert will also frame the award ceremony this year.
The Music Prize 2025 goes to the young violinist Julia Piatkowska. In the concert she will present herself with a challenging concert. She will present the famous violin concerto by Mendelssohn-Bartholdy op.64 in E minor and will be accompanied by Hanna Kim on the piano. She will also perform works for solo violin by J.S. Bach and Prokofiev, as well as a Cantabile by the composer as a "Hommage a' Paganini".
Julia Piatkowska, born in Poland, grew up in Germany, studied at the IfM in Franziska Hahn-Majerski's violin class and graduated at the beginning of the year. During her studies in Osnabrück, she spent a year as an ERASMUS scholar at the "Niccoloˋ Paganini" Conservatory in Genoa. She is currently completing her Master's degree there in the city of Paganini's birth.
The club invites you to enjoy drinks and pastries during the interval and afterwards.
