Pit light market in the festive Kurpark (2.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m.)
From 2 p.m., the festively decorated Kurpark opens its gates and is transformed into a magical Christmas backdrop. Visitors can look forward to a wide range of activities that will ring in the Advent season in an atmospheric way:
The festive highlight is the only pre-Christmas mountain parade in the Harz Mountains, which this year takes place as the 8th Saxony-Anhalt State Mountain Parade:
Exclusive collector's items
For hiking enthusiasts and collectors, two exclusive special stamps will be available in the Garden of Lights during the event: the special stamp for the 8th Harz Hiking Needle State Mountain Parade and the stamp from the Behringer Fountain.
Admission to the entire event is free.
Important information:
The Grubenlichtermarkt and the Landesbergparade are organized on a voluntary basis by the members of the Harzklub branch association Bad Suderode e.V.. All proceeds go towards the organization of the event. Please use the public parking lots in Grünstraße, Ellernstraße and at the Felsenkeller / sports field. Rathausplatz, the junction of Brinkstraße and Ellernstraße will be closed on November 29, 2025 from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm. Further free parking facilities within walking distance can be found in Gersdorfstraße in Gernrode. From here it is a 15 to 20 minute walk.

- Culinary delights: fragrant mulled wine, regional specialties and treats.
- Crafts: Handicraft treasures and lovingly designed gift ideas.
- Program: Musical highlights with the "Harzzwerge" day nursery and the Wolterstorff-Gymnasium musical ensemble.
- Children's area: A special area with craft activities, games and lots of fun - Santa Claus has also announced his visit!
- Forest of lights: A warming fire pit invites you to linger and bake stick bread in good company.

- 16.15: Start with a mountain devotion in the New Church in Bad Suderode.
- From around 5 p.m.: The magnificent procession of traditional Central German associations sets off. Accompanied by mine lights, torches and the Bergmusikkorps 1965 e.V., the procession leads along Brinkstraße into the spa gardens.
- At around 5.20 p.m.: The ceremonial miners' welcome takes place in the Kurpark and is accepted by prominent guests of honor.
