16th Uplengen Christmas Market
On Sunday, December 7, 2025, the area around the historic St. Martin's Church in Remels will once again be transformed into a festive stall magic. The traditional Uplengen Christmas market opens its doors on this day from 11 am to 6 pm and invites visitors of all ages to spend a contemplative day in a pre-Christmas atmosphere.
Before the Christmas market opens, an Advent church service will take place at 10 am.
Afterwards, guests can expect a colorful range of decorative gift ideas,
crafts and culinary delights. In the festively decorated area around the church, the community library and the elementary school, numerous stalls create an atmospheric ambience. From savory treats to sweet temptations, there is something for every taste.
A special highlight is the Christmas bazaar in the assembly hall, which offers the opportunity to pick up one or two individual Christmas gifts. If you want to take a cozy break, the Sankt-Martins-Haus is the place to be: Here, home-baked cakes and hot coffee or tea invite you to linger. The
small book flea market in the community library is also a must - for all bookworms who are looking for new reading material.
The visit of St. Nicholas, who will drop by with his
jute sack full of surprises (time to follow), will make children's eyes light up. In an atmospheric setting, he will tell exciting stories of his adventures to guests young and old.
