Die Insel - Restaurant and Beer Garden
Meet up and enjoy life: "Die Insel" is all about the cuisine in a very special location. The restaurant and beer garden are literally on an island (hence the name "Die Insel") in the Weser river. Enjoy the range of culinary offerings in this tranquil setting.
Island train
The metre-gauge railway travels across the spectacular salt marshes at a leisurely pace, giving passengers a unique look at the flora and fauna of the Wadden Sea.
Langeoog Water Tower
The water tower is the island’s biggest landmark. It is open between April and October and offers regular tours. The exhibition entitled “100 years of the water tower – 100 years of water supply” is hosted here.
Doctor Iron Beard
The famous doctor of the baroque age died in 1727 in Hann. Munden. Today, visitors can let him lead them through the city and listen to his mocking tune as they chime.
