The metre-gauge railway travels across the spectacular salt marshes at a leisurely pace, giving passengers a unique look at the flora and fauna of the Wadden Sea.
The water tower is the island’s biggest landmark. It is open between April and October and offers regular tours. The exhibition entitled “100 years of the water tower – 100 years of water supply” is hosted here.
The famous doctor of the baroque age died in 1727 in Hann. Munden. Today, visitors can let him lead them through the city and listen to his mocking tune as they chime.
