Directions

The starting point for the bike routes is the **“Treffpunkt Jugend und Rad”** at the Milleniumwald in Selsingen (B 71 / Im  Sick). From there, a trail leads to Haaßel and the Ziehbrunnen, the first of 14 stops along the route. The second stop focuses on the URLA Center, an educational museum.

From Ohrel, you’ll ride to the town of **Malstedt**, which lies directly on the Bever River. Along this small river, you’ll also find the **former watermill**, which now houses an **art studio**. Via Byhusen and through a small wooded area, the route continues to the **Farven Play and Water Park** (free admission, donations welcome), which was lovingly designed by the Bürgerverein Farven 2011 e.V. It consists of a pond with a sandy beach, a stream, and a large lawn. The playground equipment there invites children to climb and run around, as well as splash and play in the mud. It’s a paradise for both young and old visitors.

Via the **cobblestone path in Strüh**, past the massive **boulder walls in Winderswohlde** and the **cemetery in Grafel** , you’ll reach the highlight of the route, the **Anderlinger carved stone** . Did you know that one of northern Germany’s most significant archaeological finds was discovered by chance? In 1907, farmer Gerd Brandt was removing sand and stones from a field to build a road when he found the carved stone. It features figures that, until then, had only been known from Sweden. The stone marks the south side of a burial chamber. A reconstruction of the tomb and the stone can be viewed on site.

Near the carved stone is also the **Stone Planetarium**, a true-to-scale representation of our solar system with a golden sun at its center. The planetarium extends along the entire leg **between Anderlingen and Haaßel**. From there, it’s not far to **Selsingen**. Don’t miss the chance to stop for a bite to eat at one of the restaurants located right in the town center.

The route passes through the following towns:
Selsingen - Ohrel - Malstedt - Byhusen - Farven - Fehrenbruch - Grafel - Anderlingen - Haaßel - Selsingen
