**Detailed Route Description:**
The 114 km round-trip follows nature’s trail and begins in Bremervörde, a town that, with its location on the Oste River and the offers a unique variety of landscapes.

We start at the train station and follow the short access path to the northern loop. Our first destination takes us westward along well-maintained paths to the village of Hesedorf, six kilometers away. We continue on a bike path alongside the country road, which is lined with lush meadows and fields, toward Ohrel. This is a great stretch for fully enjoying the diverse, expansive North German landscape with its scattered farmsteads. From there, we cycle to Selsingen. This somewhat larger town is known for its picturesque , located near two inns—perfect for a quick stop.

After a short stop, the route takes you along quiet roads through Granstedt to Eitzmühlen with its famous , which is located directly on the Oste River. The route continues to Ostereistedt, a village with typical North German farmhouses. From here, the tour winds its way through Rhadereistedt and Hanstedt to Breddorf and on to Gnarrenburg. The , over which cut peat was once transported to Bremen on peat barges. Passing old peat-cutting areas, the route continues to Oese, Barchel, and Hipstedt. From here, the Nordschleife leads through the Hinzel Forest to Alfstedt, the northernmost point of this route.

We cycle the final kilometers through a gently rolling geest landscape and past the Höhne Forest back to Bremervörde. In Bremervörde, the town’s cozy cafés and restaurants offer the perfect opportunity to reflect on the highlights of the Nordschleife during one last break. To stretch your legs, visit the on Lake Vörder, which is lovingly landscaped and features the offers a wealth of sensory experiences.
