Langeoog is one of the chain of East Frisian islands off the Lower Saxon North Sea coast. This car-free island with a typical North Sea climate promises an exciting holiday experience for all ages, together with perfect relaxation as a certified thalassotherapy North Sea spa destination. The colourful Langeoog island train transports visitors from the ferry to the small town with its inviting pavement cafés. The journey takes them past dykes, grazing highland cattle, blooming sea buckthorn and dog rose bushes. Many cycling and hiking paths lead visitors through some 20 square metres of wild island nature, including a 14-kilometre sandy beach, salt marshes and dune landscapes. Cyclists can also ride to the island's east end to watch seals and birds from the vantage point of a nature lodge. For an amazing view of the whole of Langeoog island, visitors can climb the water tower or the Melkörndüne sand dune.
