We also offer our guests refreshing ice cream straight from the “ice cream counter”—almost like at an Italian restaurant. In the garden, there are plenty of shady and sunny spots to relax. While the “little ones” explore the farm, the adults finally have enough time for a “Klönschnack” (a North German term for a chat). That’s because here, children always find something to keep them captivated for a long time. Very popular are the pedal tractors with trailers, which they can drive around the farm, and the large straw castle on the lawn, which we build every year for the Melkhus season.Right next to the milking parlor, we run our farm store, “Bassen’s Bauernladen,” which offers many fresh and homemade products from vendors in the Rotenburg district and neighboring districts, such as vegetables and fruit, cheese, spices, oils, liqueurs, juices, honey, and baked goods. We also carry a variety of gift items. We produce many of these right here on our farm, such as Klötenköm egg liqueur, various fruit spreads, herb salts, and herbal teas, as well as soups and sauces. Our selection also includes meat and sausage specialties from our own pig and chicken farms, as well as eggs (KAT-certified) from our free-range chickens. A real highlight is certainly our ten different types of pasta, all of which we make ourselves—such as the spelt-and-squash pasta, which was named a “Culinary Ambassador of Lower Saxony” in 2019. We also offer delicious, homemade pasta sauces to go with them. We’re happy to explain how life on the farm works, what our daily work entails, and why we love what we do to groups of children and adults during a farm tour, which can be booked in advance of your visit. We also welcome guests of all ages to take a peek inside our sow barn at any time. Through a glass door, you can watch our piglets grow during their first weeks after birth. We’d also be happy to host your birthday party or serve a delicious wild herb breakfast —just let us know in advance. So, why not stop by and enjoy a little countryside getaway on our farm! Directions & Parking facilities

Our farm is located south of Scheeßel.

Arrival by car:
Coming from Bremen, take the A 1 (exit Stuckenborstel) and the B 75 via Rotenburg (Wümme) to Scheeßel. Coming from Hamburg, take the A1 (Sittensen exit) and the L 130 via Hamersen and Helvesiek to Scheeßel.

In Scheeßel, take the traffic circle in the direction of the train station. Follow Bahnhofsstraße and turn right into Küsterkampweg. Follow the Melkhus signs and turn right into Ruhlohkampweg. This leads directly to Finteler Weg and our farm.

If you would like to find us with the "Navi", it is best to use "Google-Maps" for your navigation.

Arrival by train:
Scheeßel is very easy to reach by train. The train company "metronom" offers a direct connection between Hamburg and Bremen with the "metronom regio", on which bicycles can also be taken along. You can find more information about the train connections at www.bahn.de

From the station in Scheeßel, take the rear exit, which does not lead into the town center. Follow the street Hinter der Bahn and Ruhlohkampweg, which leads directly to Finteler Weg. It is about 20 minutes on foot to our farm.
