Wanama invites guests and locals alike to discover natural and regional products.

On October 24 and 25, 2026, the Wanama – Wangerland Nature Market will open its doors for the sixth time. From 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day, visitors and locals can discover products from the region and learn about the work of local initiatives.
 
Visitors can expect a diverse selection of handmade products, culinary specialties, and arts and crafts. The selection ranges from sheep-related products and Frisian honey to cosmetics, macramé crafts, and home and garden decorations. Exhibitors will showcase their products and projects, share their experiences, and offer practical tips for everyday life. 
 
Information and hands-on activities related to nature conservation and environmental protection are offered by local associations and initiatives such as WAU, BUND Wilhelmshaven, JadeWale e. V., and Erde und Flut, among others. At the Wangerland National Park House booth, visitors can learn more about the region’s wildlife and take a look through a microscope. At the Neustadtgödens Spinning Circle, visitors can try their hand at felting and watch traditional spinning. 
 
For children, a free screening of the popular picture book cinema will take place at the library on both days at 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., and the popular library scavenger hunt will run from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
 
In the small parking lot, alongside the Fairmobil from Aurich, the Friesland-Wilhelmshaven Hunting Association will also be present to provide information about their work and topics related to nature and wildlife. 
 
Whether young or old: The Wangerland Nature Market offers the opportunity to get to know regional vendors and local initiatives, try new things, and take home ideas for your own everyday life.
