2024 was a jubilant year for RIAN and he landed a veritable hit with the single "Verwandtschaftstreffen" from the EP of the same name: number one in the Austrian Shazam, Austria Viral and Ö3-Austro charts - the track was awarded gold and is aiming for platinum! In 2025, he won the Amadeus Austrian Music Award an incredible three times for "Verwandtschaftstreffen", the song is on heavy rotation on the radio and has become the soundtrack of fans' lives.
RIAN combines German-language indie pop with smart comedy on this release and simultaneously conveys socio-political relevance: his songs are witty gems in the tradition of KAFFKIEZ, Danger Dan, Antilopen Gang, Falco, Manu Chao or Jonathan Richman - superficially danceable, deep around the corner, (self-)critical and empathetic. The pop line from the feet to the heart to the head has rarely felt so right.
On tour, "Verwandtschaftstreffen" and his reputation as an excellent live entertainer brought him full houses - after a sold-out "Verwandtschaftstreffen Tour 2025" and a tour finale in Vienna with over 3,000 fans, it was clear that RIAN is now playing next level: In Austria, he is recognized in the supermarket, and a fan selfie or "a video for the third cousin" is suddenly nothing unusual at all.
And the influx of fans is huge in Germany too - all dates of the 2025 tour were sold out, including rescheduling and additional shows. RIAN has therefore announced a new tour for fall 2025 and spring 2026 in twenty-six cities in Germany, Austria and Switzerland - with space for everyone who was unable to get tickets last time. And with even bigger shows, more live energy - and new music!
Because RIAN is already working on fresh songs and reveals on top that his debut album will finally be released at the beginning of `26. RIAN's mix of pop, indie and hip-hop, cabaret interludes and profound lyrics make him one of the most exciting live acts of the year!
