Osnabrück, August 26, 2026 (sg) - More than 4,200 people, around 30 Christmas carols, and the Bremer Brücke serving as a giant choir: Last year’s premiere of “Osnabrück Sings Christmas Carols” was an emotional highlight of the holiday season. This special home event returns in December—twice, in fact, due to high demand. On Tuesday, December 15, and Wednesday, December 16, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. each evening, the crowd will once again sing together on the North Stand and the Affenfelsen. The Osnabrück Christmas Band, led by Kai Lünnemann, will once again provide the musical accompaniment. Together with selected solo artists, they’ll perform a mix of traditional and modern Christmas carols—and everyone is encouraged to sing along. The soloists for this year will be announced at a later date. Host Tom Herter will lead the proceedings on both evenings. Combining stadium atmosphere with Christmas spirit, the event aims to recreate what made last December’s Christmas Sing-Along so special: thousands of voices coming together to transform the Bremer Brücke into one huge Christmas choir. Mulled wine, punch, crêpes, and other Christmas treats will also be available. This year’s Christmas sing-along is once again supported by Sparkasse Osnabrück as the main sponsor. “The premiere impressively demonstrated what can happen when more than 4,200 people sing together in a special place. Events like this foster a sense of community and togetherness in our region—which is exactly why we’re very happy to support this special home game,” says André Schüller, CEO of Sparkasse Osnabrück. Jan Jansen, managing director of the stadium company, adds: “We’d like to extend our special thanks to VfL Osnabrück for making it possible to hold the Christmas Sing-Along on two evenings this year. This will allow us to bring even more people together at this special venue and experience this unique atmosphere at the Bremer Brücke together.” Advance ticket sales begin on September 1, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. via the OsnabrückHalle website at www.osnabrueckhalle.de.
