sold out! Welcome 2026 and a New Year's concert with the Göttingen Symphony Orchestra "Funkenfeuer".

Conductor and moderator: Dr. Nicholas Milton

Who would have thought it back then - that Johann Strauss (son), born almost exactly 200 years ago, would one day become a waltz king? One whose works have been among the most frequently performed for what feels like an eternity

Johann Strauss II, the son of the eponymous father with strong Viennese roots and a heart beating in triple time, created sparkling waltz and polka hits that have stood the test of time.

Chief conductor Nicholas Milton lives up to his reputation and spices up the program with little interjections from other composers.

Welcome 2026!
