 Ernst-Reuter-Platz, also known to locals as the "weekly market square", is located between the pedestrian zone and the leisure harbor. The weekly market in Leer takes place here all year round on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 7.00 am to 1.00 pm. (except on public holidays)

The weekly market offers a wide range of fresh foods such as fruit and vegetables, meat and fish, cheese, baked goods, honey, flowers and other specialties in a large selection from regional traders and sometimes directly from the producer.

If events take place on Ernst-Reuter-Platz, the weekly market is located in the pedestrian zone on Denkmalplatz. On public holidays, the weekly market is postponed.
