Kilkenny Band - "Stormy Seas Ahead"

For nine years now, the Kilkenny Band from Osnabrück has been on the road during the darker months of the year on their so-called "church tour". The focus is particularly on the solemn ballads, which can unfold their full potential in the acoustics of a church and in front of colorfully illuminated walls. However, this in no way means that the interaction with the audience, for which the Kilkenny Band is always known, is dispensed with. Sing-along passages and clappable instrumental solos are just as much an integral part of the show as the charming moderation, in which the musicians explain the background to the songs as well as their personal connection to the song. Under the motto "Stormy Seas Ahead", everything revolves around seafaring and the homesickness and wanderlust associated with it. In a "multi-stringed" concert evening, the audience will experience Irish music in all its facets - from dreamy ballads and shanties to virtuoso jigs and reels. The tour also marks the release of the new album of the same name.
