Kamishibai "Die kleine Maus sucht einen Freund"

Other families/children
The little mouse is looking for a friend. She goes from animal to animal, but they all turn her down. This story by Eric Carle tells how she finally finds a friend after all.
Kamishibai performances are held on the second Friday of every month. Ten children aged three to six can snuggle up with their caregivers in the children’s section of the Melle City Library, listen to a wonderful story, and look at the accompanying pictures. Similar to a picture book theater, a Kamishibai features illustrations that accompany the story being read aloud. However, instead of a screen, the images are displayed on cards in a wooden frame, much like a theater stage.
The event lasts about 30 minutes. Admission is free. Registration is required online at www.stadtbibliothek-melle.de.
By the way: Kamishibai cards and a wooden frame for reading aloud at home can also be borrowed from the Melle City Library. And, of course, there are plenty of great picture books available as well.
