The result is a journey through time: Spanning 1,800 square meters, the exhibition traces the evolution of life—from the birth of our planet to futuristic urban models. **An Exciting Exploration Tour** Visitors discover a recreated primeval forest from the Carboniferous period, where augmented reality brings extinct animals back to life. They encounter the golden jackal and the wolf native to the Osnabrück region, learn how trees communicate with each other via the “fungal telephone,” and embark on an exploration tour through a city of the future. **A mix of exhibits, games, and technology** The exhibition offers an exciting mix of unique exhibits—such as a giant fossilized sago palm root—modern technology—such as a 180-degree cinema—and interactive stations—such as a “whispering floor.” **Contemporary Issues** Evolution, biodiversity, and climate change are among the most pressing issues of our time. The exhibition addresses these topics across five areas—astronomy, water, forests, open lands, and urban life—and explores them from various perspectives. It explains the interconnections of the world, the impact humans have on it, and how we can protect it. **Guided Tours** A guided tour of the permanent exhibition takes place on the first Sunday of every month. During the tour, we share many more fascinating details about the exhibition’s themes. The tour is also offered with a sign language interpreter. If you’d like to take advantage of this service, please indicate this when you register. If you need a sign language interpreter, please register no later than the Friday before the tour. Of course, private guided tours for groups can also be booked. Just contact us to arrange one.
