The combination of industrial charm and festive coziness makes this market an unforgettable experience for the whole family. On the lovingly decorated mining museum grounds, visitors and locals alike can enjoy mulled wine, punch, hot cocoa, and sweet treats, as well as hearty meals, and browse through a variety of arts and crafts. Surrounded by historic machinery and impressive artifacts from mining history, the booths glow with warm light and invite visitors to linger. Many local artists and vendors are on hand, offering the chance to pick up your first Christmas gifts both above and below ground while exploring the facilities. One of the highlights, alongside the musical program, is the guided tours on both days—running every half hour starting at 11:00 a.m.—through the Christmas-illuminated above- and below-ground exhibition mine.
