12th edition of the Budenzauber Emsland will take place on 03.01.2026!

The Budenzauber Emsland ideally takes place on the first Saturday of the new year. On 03.01.2026, numerous soccer legends will once again do us the honor in the EmslandArena. The field of participants has already been determined. The great Hamburger SV will be the defending champions. Of course, the local heroes from SV Meppen will also be there, as will perennial rivals VfL Osnabrück. Werder Bremen are also regular guests. They will be joined by the Bundesliga club from the capital, 1. FC Union Berlin. The field is completed by VfL Bochum.

The tournament opens at 3 pm. The award ceremony is scheduled for 7:45 pm. The 11th edition of the tournament was sold out weeks in advance. So if you want to be there in the EmslandArena, you should secure a ticket in advance now.

Tournament director Bernd Kühn: "We had a lot of very close games in January, such as the dramatic derby, which ended 4-4, or the final. SV Meppen was already leading by three goals, but it came down to a penalty shoot-out and HSV had the luckier end in the nine-meter shoot-out. For the 12th edition, we will once again do our utmost to put six teams of equal quality on the pitch to entertain us with exciting and technically fine soccer."
