Alte Liebe

Straight theatre
After the novel by Elke Heidenreich and Bernd Schroeder | Reading with Mariele Millowitsch and Walter Sittler
Lore: "Is it happiness in itself if it just lasts? I think I still love you".
Harry: "Let me know when you know for sure".

With clever wit and cheerful seriousness, Elke Heidenreich and Bernd Schroeder tell the story of an ageing love in their novel "Alte Liebe". What has remained after 40 years of marriage? Are we who we would like to be? And what is all this actually about? Questions upon questions that Lore and Harry can no longer avoid.

In stunning dialogues and with a lot of self-irony, Mariele Millowitsch and Walter Sittler read scenes from a marriage in which an entire generation can probably recognize itself.

Mariele Millowitsch comes from a well-known German acting family. After graduating from high school, she studied veterinary medicine and received her doctorate in 1991, but decided to pursue acting. Walter Sittler moved to Germany as a child and completed his acting training at the Otto-Falckenberg-Schule in Munich. Both achieved great fame through leading roles in the series girl friends - Freundschaft mit Herz and Nikola.

Cast: Mariele Millowitsch, Walter Sittler
