Adendorfer Serenade: Haydns Erbe
================================

- Operetta
- from €19.50 p.P.

 Joseph Haydn is not only considered the inventor of the string quartet—the genre of the piano trio also traces its origins back to him.
As the “Father of Chamber Music,” he stands at the beginning of a tradition that continues to this day. Just how deeply this tradition resonates is demonstrated by Robert Schumann and Johannes Brahms, who both consciously draw on the “old forms”—yet reimagine them entirely. Although closely related in form, their works differ markedly in character and expression: Haydn’s playful lightheartedness meets Schumann’s poetic imagination and Brahms’s late-period gravity and bittersweet melancholy.
And yet, the pieces have more in common than one might initially suspect.
Performing is the Amelio Trio, one of Europe’s most promising young chamber music ensembles. Founded in 2012 at the age of 13, it most recently attracted attention as a prize winner at renowned competitions such as the 2023 ARD Music Competition and
winners of the 2024 German Music Competition. For the 2026/27 season, it was named an ECHO Rising Star by the European Concert Hall Organization and will perform at leading concert halls across Europe, including
the Musikverein in Vienna, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, and many others.
With the kind support of the German Music Competition, a project of the German Music Council.
