Romantic railroads in miniature

Whole landscapes with mountains and valleys, interspersed with towns and cities connected by tracks on which nostalgic steam locomotives or modern trains tirelessly make their rounds: It is always fascinating for visitors to marvel at the detailed model railroad layouts. On Sunday, January 11, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., ten well-designed model railroad layouts in various gauges will be on display in the Osterholz-Scharmbeck town hall.

In addition to the model railway layouts, model car clubs will also be showing their exhibits, supplemented by models from the fields of plastic, cardboard and tractor model making. Younger visitors will have particular fun making their own small kits under the guidance of club members.

Various suppliers will be presenting both used and new items related to model railroads.

The association "Lachende Kinder in Nepal" e.V. will be providing food, drinks and a raffle with lots of valuable prizes.

The 10th Osterholz Model Railway Day will once again be organized by the Osterholz-Scharmbeck Model Railway Friends, who have presented their layouts not only in our region but also at international model railway exhibitions during their 30 years of existence.
