Vintage festival in Hitzacker (Elbe)
Delights for the palate, eyes and ears
Mayor Holger Mertins opens the atmospheric vintage festival at 10 a.m. The "Chorus of Vineyard Dwarfs" welcomes the guests and charmingly leads the new wine queen to the coronation ceremony. Mertins puts the crown on her and straightens the sash. Then the queen can be congratulated, especially sovereigns from neighboring regions. The newly crowned majesty - her name has been a closely guarded secret until then - invites guests to taste the wines from previous years.
Music is the mood builder at the festival at the foot of the vineyard. The vineyard dwarfs sing songs to sing along to. For the feast for the ears there are delicacies, matched to wine and juices.
