The "Lüttje Greetmer Wiehnachtsmarkt" traditionally takes place on the second and third weekends of Advent. The fishing village of Greetsiel then shines in Christmas splendour around the market square. On the third Sunday in Advent, Father Christmas visits the Christmas market. He comes into the harbour on a fishing boat and is accompanied by torchbearers. Now the children can recite their wish lists and poems.
