Schné Ensemble - New Acoustic Music
"Steppenwolf" - the Schné Ensemble plays a program with its own settings of German poetry by Heinrich Heine, Rainer Maria Rilke, Erich Fried, Bertold Brecht, Else Lasker-Schüler, Rose Ausländer, Hermann Hesse and others, and instrumental pieces.
Schné-Ensemble - that's the singer and actress Schné, the Dutch accordionist Mariska Nijhof, the composer, strings and guitarist Ingo Höricht and the pianist Michael Berger. The Schné Ensemble plays nothing more than their own music - highly emotional songs and instrumental pieces between chanson, jazz, chamber pop, and folk. Since its foundation in 2007, the ensemble has already released five albums to the public. The album "Das Karussell", released in 2010 with its own settings of German-language poetry, was recognized as the best German-language album at the 2010 German Rock & Pop Award, the album "Pierrot, Pierrot, Pierrot", which mainly contains songs with French-language texts written by singer Schné was awarded at the German Rock and Pop Award 2012 as "Best Foreign Language CD Album and Best Studio Production of the Year". In 2015 the live album "Gout de sel" was released and in 2019 the album "Steppenwolf" (nominated for best German-language CD album of the year ").
