"Licht und Schatten" - Fotoausstellung
Photography did not invent the ambivalence of light and shadow. But a photo without light can not exist. From November 9 to December 13, 2018, eight members of the Lüchow-Dannenberg photo circle will be showing photographic works on the subject at the Kreishaus in Lüchow: Anita Baumert, Regine Henry, Sabine Baumann-Leitner, Adrian Knight, Ernst-A. Klare, Frank Borchert, Klaus Mayhack and Gerhard Walter. For the first time the friendly Fotoclub Salzwedel is represented with some photos.
At the vernissage on November 9th at 7 pm, Hella Pfefferling-Hunold from Theaterclub Dannenberg introduces the exhibition. Musicians of the "Trio Scurrile" play songs and ballads on the theme of the exhibition.
Sabine Baumann-Leitner shows pictures of the dark and light sides from southern Africa between Namibia and Zimbabwe in the district house. Ernst-A. Klare asks with his photos: Do we actually see what we see? The images of Regine Henry show the light of nature - but also the dark side of life. Man and nature are the focus of the photos by Adrian Knight. Klaus Mayhack shows photos of bright days and dark nights, of sunny places and dark places. In the darkness of Frank Borchert's studio, only a single flash illuminates the model. Reduced images are the result of these staged portraits. Gerhard Walter finds light and shadow on the edge of everyday life.
The exhibition of the series "KuK - Art and Culture in the District House" is open from Monday to Thursday from 8.30 am to 4 pm and on Friday from 8.30 am to 12.30 pm.
Admission is free.
