Geführte Radtour auf dem Mönchsweg zu Schnitger-Orgeln
Under the direction of the ADFC Stade, a cycle tour starts on May 11, 2019 on the Mönchsweg from Stade via Steinkirchen to Jork and back. With him are Superintendent Dr. Hans Christian Brandy, Superintendent Thomas Kück and district cantor Prof. Martin Böcker. In addition to the more than 40 kilometers of cycling, an organ matinee in St. Wilhadi, a church and organ tour in Steinkirchen and Jork, as well as a cozy snack are all part of the program.
A small and a big anniversary are the reason for the day trip: Five years ago, the 190 kilometer cycle path Mönchsweg between Bremen and Wischhafen was opened. The trail follows the tracks of the Christianization of northern Germany on a further 340 kilometers to the Baltic Sea island of Fehmarn. Over 100 churches can be discovered along the route. In the Altes Land are many works of organ builder Arp Schnitger (1648-1719), which are particularly honored in his 300th year of death.
Meeting point is at 11.10 clock with own bike at the St. Wilhadi Church in Stade. From 11.15 am until 11.30 am Prof. Böker will give explanations on the Erasmus Bielfeldt organ, before the organ matinee with church music director Hauke Ramm will begin at 11.30 am
The arrival in Stade will be at 17.45. If you would like to cycle with us, please register in the office of the Landesuperintendentur Stade: Tel: 04141/62121 or Mail: Lasuptur.Stade@evlka.de. As a contribution to the cost will be asked for a donation.
