De ole Wiehnachtsmaakt
De ole Wiehnachtsmaakt transforms every year the Bremervörder Rathausmarkt into a Christmas-themed city. Every day the festively decorated stalls are open. In addition to arts and crafts, Christmas decorations, jewelry and woodwork, you can enjoy delicious mulled wine, punch, Grog and Glögg, and like to stay in the popular Klönbude. An extensive stage program ensures the best entertainment on all event days. In addition to the local kindergartens, the Kreismusikschule and the Lloydstreet Bigband Bremervörde as well as the trombone choir St. Liborius and the Bremervörder harbor singers are also involved.
A special highlight is expected on Saturday, December 8, Santa Claus. On his long journey, he will make a stopover in Bremervörde accompanied by his Christmas angels and arrive by train at the station. From there, in a horse-drawn carriage with a large torchlight procession, accompanied by the fire brigade, we continue through Bremervörder town center to Rathausplatz, where we greet the children on the stage and distribute sweets.
For the children, "De ole Wiehnachtsmaakt" has many other attractions in store: marshmellow roasting on the fire basket, face painting, Christmas cinema. On Sunday, all children will have another opportunity to send Christmas wishes directly to Santa Claus, because then he will take a seat in his red armchair on the event stage.
