At the end of November, the old town of Celle is once again transformed into a Christmas fairytale. Between the festively lit half-timbered houses and lovingly decorated stalls, things get Christmassy. The historic old town of Celle with its beautiful half-timbered houses is the ideal place for a Christmas market with lots of atmosphere. The half-timbered ensemble, one of the largest in Europe, provides a romantic backdrop for small stalls. The combination of stylish market stalls, festive lighting and Christmas concerts earned Celle the title of "Best Christmas City" in 2018.
Stalls with Christmas delicacies such as mulled wine, roasted almonds and lard cakes invite visitors to linger and enjoy. Traditionally, visitors are welcomed by the popular Christmas pyramid and the well-known variety of Christmas stalls.
