Christmas in Rammelsberg

Traditionally on the third weekend in Advent, you can experience the mining museum in a very special atmosphere.

Experience the unique mining tradition and history above and below ground.

With around 50 exhibitors, the Christmas market extends from the underground area of the former mine to the site and the open-air facilities of today's museum. You can look forward to a varied programme of regional music, culinary delights and handicraft products from the region. Look forward to alpacas, reading sessions with Father Christmas, show glass blowers, pewter figurine casting, a tombola and much more!

Our traditional highlight can be found underground, on the "Tour of the Roeder Gallery", which is lit up with hundreds of candles this weekend and gives a visit to Rammelsberg at Christmas time a very special magic.
