Bike & River Adventure from Hann. Münden to Bremen
Bike & River Adventure from Hann. Münden to Bremen

Follow the Weser-Radweg, one of Germany’s most popular cycling routes, from the river’s source to its estuary. In the first path section you’ll bike through the Weserbergland past historic towns, romantic castles and palaces. Then in the Mittelweser region you’ll see pic turesque windmills and water mills as you go by. The Unter weser section of the river begins further north, in the Hanseatic city of Bremen. In Nordenham you can then take a ferry to the Seaside City of Bremerhaven, follow the cycling route on from there to Cuxhaven. The great thing is, there are only a few rises, making the path easy to travel for families and those who are less athletic.

Accessibility to the public transportAccessibility to the public transport

The arrival and departure to the Weser-Radweg with the train is mostly possible. Along the route are many more stations, which offer regular connections to Kassel, Göttingen, Hanover, Bremen and Bremerhaven. The bicycle transport is possible in the regional- and suburban trains. As the places are limited, it is recommended for larger groups to make a reservation in advance. You can get information about this from the service of Deutsche Bahn +49 1805 / 996633 (mon-sun 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.).
