The North Sea - a feeling of wide panoramas, the open sea, unending sand. The smell of salt in the air, a fresh breeze, the surf breaking.

With seven islands and a coastline between the Ems,Weser and Elbe, the North Sea offers you unlimited opportunities for holiday fun. The holiday paradise of the East Frisian Islands lie like a string of pearls just off the coast. Borkum, Juist, Norderney, Baltrum, Langeoog, Spiekeroog and Wangerooge defy the constant tides and the stiff North Sea breeze.

The island of Langeoog, nestled between the coastal wetlands and the sea and covering barely 20 square kilometres, offers an outstanding natural beauty.Well-known for its abundant family-orientated facilities, the car-free North sea resort has been singled out for repeated awards.

Moreover, the island offers ideal conditions for a relaxing holiday, for example a trip in an accessible horse-drawn taxi, a “Rollfiets” wheelchair bike, or a beach or water wheelchair.

Several wheelchairs (motorized, with sunshade, water wheelchairs) are available at the lifeguards of DLRG from 01.05.-30.09.. Off-season they can be ordered according to prior agreement (Tel. 01 62 / 4 44 24 26).
