You can explore the sights of Lower Saxony’s state capital Hannover by a „do it yourself“ city tour with the innovative city guide “The "Red Thread" Hannover – your very own tour guide”.
Simply follow the 4,200m red line and the arrows painted on the pavement. On Hannover’s Red Thread, all guests can experience the old town and admire its some 36 prime attractions. The city guide also provides a route that is accessible to all. This is marked with pictograms, for example highlighting wheelchair-friendly entrances and underground stations, as well as services for partially-sighted/blind guests and those with limited hearing.
An app of the same name has been created to accompany Hannover’s Red Thread, and is also available in English. All routes and alternative routes are marked in the app, which also provides information on accessibility.
The city guide can be obtained in pocket form from Hannover Marketing & Tourismus GmbH. More information
